I started LUNAKAMAMA like many during the national lockdown. Inspired by a love for reclaimed, up-cycled items, and a desire to be eco-friendly, saving many reusable items going to landfill, back into something useful and beautiful again.

Learning a new craft always excites me, one day a beautiful wooden rustic tea light, the next day turning an old wine bottle into a unique candle holder,

Reclaimed Wood, & Ceramic Gifts!

Handcrafted rustic reclaimed candle, or tea light holders, made from timber from (The Useful Wood Company) a local company that collect timber from Building and Construction sites, clean up then resell back to the public, while supporting local community projects, any unusable wood is either chipped or made into Bio-fuel so nothing goes to Landfill:

Supporting small businesses that care about the environment is very important to me and trying too understand the impact we all have, Pollution, burning fossil fuels, deforestation, human impacts on the world ocean, the list goes on and on.

Reuse, Reduce, Recycle:

We really need to continue to reduce our waste and mass produced single use plastic, And I understand that in hospitals and other sectors it has to be that way, but not in our every day lives.

Every change you make has an impact, My first change was just one small bar of natural vegan soap, Which lasted over a month that would have been at least four or more plastic bottles in Landfill taking between 450 to 1000 years to decompose, So you can imagine the difference it would make if we all made these Simple changes.

We have so many talented, creative crafts in this country and small shops that really care about the world we live in,

I have chosen to stock products from two of these Companies, Greener Habits Co, a Vegan low waste Online and Physical shop, and, The natural soap Company, both with very strong views about the environment we live in, So lets support them.

This is why it made perfect sense to me to combine my two passions into one big passion project that is a win-win for everybody!

Packaging;

All of our orders are wrapped in biodegradable tissue paper, sent in a eco-friendly box, If you do receive some form of plastic packing it is because it has either been sent to us, or gifted, So we hope you do the same and reuse it again.
